CUSTOM RESTYLING

UPDATE A FAMILY HEIRLOOM

Jewelry is meant to be worn, cherished, and have meaning for the wearer. There is nothing sadder to us than jewelry that sits unworn or unloved in a jewelry box or safe. Our Heirloom Restyling Service is a collaborative design experience that allows us to help you reinvent your unworn, family jewelry and update them into modern heirlooms to be worn and loved every day. We derive enormous satisfaction from helping our clients tell their personal stories through reimagined and reworked family heirlooms and unworn jewelry, thus creating a new chapter in the generational story of a family’s jewelry history.

We begin the Service with an in-person or virtual discovery session to understand the scope and background of the project, the number of restyled pieces and desired outcome, all the while getting to know the client’s style, aesthetic, and final jewelry wardrobe goals.

Restyling consists of but is not limited to converting/reworking components into new pieces, melting down metal to recast or sell for cash, and reusing and reworking old stones into new designs. The options are endless. But we are here to help educate you on how to maximize the value and meaning of your jewelry.

Once we have your heirlooms on hand and have made a working deposit, we can begin the production process. We work closely with our master platinum and goldsmiths to ensure the client’s vision comes to life, and cementing the next chapter in the story of family heirlooms.

Heirlooms Sourced & customized By Cimelio

Sometimes it’s not just about creating a unique piece of jewelry, but scouring the globe for an antique component or specimen that encapsulates a storied history of craftsmanship and sparkle, much like a capsule in time. One of our strengths here at By Cimelio is finding that needle in the haystack, the truly unique and special in the antique market.  The pieces shown here represent a selection of that, untouched jewels or diamonds, rare components that have withstood for hundreds of years, and hopefully will continue on untouched for hundreds more.  Fabricated or cut before any modern tools or electricity, these special jewels get rarer by the day.
